Actually, I created a polling topic on the ubisoft forums for this too. (I bought the game from Greenmangaming for a discount, which gave a uplay key, though I'd have preferred a steam key, but it was discounted so eh.)

This is so stupid grrr. This game needs an offline mode, once I complete a game I like to have a free sandbox to play in and do whatever I want ... stupid ubisoft.

I was about to mini-rant but after reading the latest posts seems like there might be a shred of hope for WD2 after all... Let's hope it works out. I personally enjoy the franchise but without my precious cheats it's a deal breaker. Until there's a clear answer for this situation i'll hold my money for WD2.
