I have disabled all my anti-virus/firewall software(including windows) and run it as admin. It appears to start running, but doesn't do anything afterwards. I'm on windows 10. My firewall did initially see it try to connect to the internet, which I allowed, but nothing afterwards.
Also, every other trainer I have still works. Including the one for Pillars of Eternity.
[edit] I'm re-downloading/installing the redistributables (maybe they didn't update right when windows upgraded to windows 10?)

I have the exact same issue.
I have Comodo AV etc. All my previous trainers work fine. Since a few days all the trainers I am downloading from the site simply don't work anymore.
I disable all the security software, make exceptions, ... they simply don't work.
It appears to be starting, then it never really initiates the
Older trainers (like Civ VI) work fine without any hassle (even with all the security software enabled).
I'm a bit at a loss here as completely de-installing all this software can't be a solution either?
Does anyone have any other suggestions? I am aware that the issue is 99,99% likely to be on my pc.
That said, amazing job as always. Impressed by how fast you guys are releasing the trainers!

Comodo and Bitdefender are sadly AVs where evne shutting them down is no solution. The only solution I know is to uninstall it. I don't know what these AVs are doing in background and why they ignore the customer settings. But this is what I know.
You can contact Comodo and see if they can work out a solution or at least telling you why the AV blocks the trainer although you disabled the AV. Or you uinstall it and if it works you look for an AV which respects your decisions.
uninstalling did nothing for me.
Strange that all the other trainers seemed to work fine with Comodo (when whitelisting folders / files), but the last two trainers did not :/
The only thing that is different is that the new trainers are much bigger than the older ones (20+MB versus <1MB)
I tried to use the attribute option in "character Creation" numpad 8 option. When i use it my numbers freeze, so i dont get more Points and i cannot spend the Points i already have. The game functions otherwise, I can go backwards in the character Creation process, just not forward as i cannot spend the Points that are there by default.
We issued a fix for the Attribute option late yesterday. Please delete and re-download the trainer. If you continue to have the same issue, please provide a savegame. thx
