Star Wars: Battlefront 3 Message Board  

I am thinking about getting this game when it comes out. Was wondering what it is like though? Is it online multiplayer like the Battlefield series? Is there a single player mode? Thoughts appreciated

Gonna hijack this thread a little, forgive me

But with the trainer out, and seen the small demo video Pwiz posted, any chance we can get a sneak peek at the specs that the game was run on, or better yet can some one direct me to a page where I can see the specs needed, origin seems disinclined to release some atm.

Well, I don't know what the specs are, but when I tried the beta, it ran pretty smoothly on my pc with very few fps drops. I'm going to say that a quad core cpu clocked pretty low, or a dual core with a modest clock (optimally), probably 4 GB of RAM, 30 GB of HDD space, and a basic 2 GB of VRAM. A lot of guesswork, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a beast of a game in terms of system requirements. I think I'm pretty spot on in saying that. And that setup will give you decent graphics, even at medium settings. I was unable to play it much higher than that, but it still looked really freaking good.
So, I hope that helps, even if it is a bit late. And I'm sure we can all anticipate this launch in a couple days!

16 gb ram, 250 gig SSD, 970 gtx, I7 4770 Quad, runs all settings on Ultra at 60fps

The console version is different than the PC version. Console has aim assist and the PC version does not. I'm told that this is a cross platform game in which anybody playing the console version will have the upper hand do to the assist.

I have the console and PC versions, the PC, on ultra settings, still looks much better than the console version.

If you are wondering about the gameplay, it is Mostly geared toward MP. But, The offline/SP play isn't that bad IMO.
It's limited, but fun. I'm not much into MP and I got it anyways.
I'm having lots of fun just playing offline and haven't went online once, nor do I plan to.
