So I moved my games to external harddrives, the ones that would work on them (some needed to remain on internal ones for whatever reason). Final Fantasy 13 is one of these external ones.

For some reason I can't activate any options? I thought, at first, the trainer wasn't loading properly so I tried running it multiple times, as well as in compatibility modes (XP SP3 and Admin). The trainer "activates" but pressing the numpads don't do anything...

My virus scanner is off as well.. im not quite sure what is going on... any ideas? I'm about to try other games now, to see if it happens again...
I once took an arrow to the knee, and I'm still chasing those dragons. Stupid guards.

no idea. is numlock on? are you right clicking run as admin on the trainers? are you alt-tabbing to the trainer and pressing the options at that time instead of in game?

yah. nothing is working. weird isnt it. frustrating too. im sure in being flagged for running the trainers too many times now lol. still can't figgure it out. will try something out tomorow see if that works...

Maybe the trainers have to be on a internal hard drive like those games.

Bought these external hard drives to save some of my sanity but it doesn't seem to be working very well lol

Looks like there needs to be a new item in the trainer troubleshooting.

Trainers do not like being on external hard drives, apparently...

moved the ff13 trainer to my c drive and it worked instantly lol.

Whats the point of external hardd rives if half the stuff doesn't work properly on them lol.

Gonna move my trainers back to an internal drive and that will most likely fix it. Sorry for the trouble (and multiple authorizations this undoubtedly caused)

Edited: So I tried it again with FF13, and the trainers on my primary drive and it seems to be working fine for now. will try with more games soon.

something else you might want to try. Try deleting the trainer, re-download it, and saving it to the external drive instead of the main drive... then try running it. I have some trainers on my external drive and they work fine, but if I move them to another drive they don't. I think it just might be the fact they are flagged to the drive they are downloaded to.

Might be a little far fetched, but so far that's what I come up with.

Generally I would never put games on an external. Exhd are better for storage of files. If you can get a large 7200rpm InHd and use it as a Perma Game drive.
