Using the Mega Crafting Items option, I seem to have looted 12 stacks of 99 darkspawn teeth.
Now every time I try to turn them in, trainer on/off, the game crashes.

Its gotten to a point where I cant submit any new items for research since I don't know a work around for the 12 stacks I mentioned before.

Have you experienced something similar?
Is there anyway to delete the stacks, or savegame edit them?

If I had option 4 activated (Unlimited Potions) while turning in research items, the game will crash. Make sure to disable that, if it's the case. Perhaps MC might do the same thing. Have you tried to sell/store all but 3?

I'm having the same problem. I didn't have that problem with Windows 7, but now that I've updated to Windows 10, I can't turn in any research items without crashing to the desktop. Doesn't matter if the trainer is on or off or even running at all. I googled the problem and I'm seeing other people with the same problem. I saw one person say he had it fixed by using Cheat Engine to edit the inventory, but I can't figure that out because I can't find where these items are. I can't delete any of the items in order to find where they are in cheat engine. If I could delete them though, I wouldn't have this problem. All my other "valuables" can be sold with no problem. It's only happening with creature research items. I don't know if it's something to do with Windows 10 or with the last update or something else.

Everything else works just fine, including all of my other games. In fact, I'm getting better framrates with Win 10 than I did with Win 7 in almost all of the games I still have installed.

If it helps, I have the Digital Deluxe Edition with all the DLC up to and including the Jaws of Hakkon. I haven't purchased the Avvar or Qunari items DLC, the multiplayer DLC, nor the Descent DLC.

I am running Windows 10 pro edition with an AMD FX 8120 8 core processor at 3.9GHz, 16G memory, a 3TB HDD, and an Nvidia GTX-760ti.

So you're saying that you have creature research items in your inventory that you can't see?

Have you tried running the game in windows 7 compatibility mode?

EDIT:

If this is still a problem and you don't mind, I don't know if this is possible, but if you can duplicate your character / saves, I could turn in for you since I'm on Win 7. Maybe it will work? So you can turn in research items again.

I had this issue and ended up having to roll back to a save that did not include a stack of 99 creature turn-in items. It's apparently an issue with the internal system. You just have to be careful how you use option 8. I use it the first time I encounter a new resource, and am careful to turn it off before looting any yellow items.

The safe bet is to just leave it off entirely, go around collecting what you want and gathering your loot, and then go back to the undercroft and use the store there. Sell one of each item you want 99 of, turn on option 8, then go buy back the one of each item you sold to the store. This ensures you don't glitch the research turn-in system and you get 99 of what you need.

I'm on my second play-through and this is when it started. I hadn't played in awhile and evidently there were a couple of patches I didn't see. I used to run around with the crafting items on and then turned it off before map traveling and the game would just be okay with me having tons of stuff to turn in. I could see them all in my inventory it's just the game would crash whenever I turned in a creature research item. I've learned to keep the option off until I go to sell stuff or craft things and now I no longer have anymore crashes. So, sorry, my fault! lol

Seems that the best option is to turn off the crafting cheat when you head out of town, and immediately turn it off when you loot something with a 99 value.

I did research on my own and found out that with a cheat engine you could isolate and edit the value yourself.
However seeing that the reason i use cheats to begin with is i just dont have the time anymore to sit for hours upon end. the cheat engine solution just isnt a viable solution for me.

Thanks for the responses

What I do is only turn on the crafting option when I'm about to sell at a merchant. I almost always sell to the golden flag, lol, near the crafting stations. I never have it on except when I need it.
