ok guys so i managed to get the jump drive working correctly i can now jump pretty smoothly, got a new problem now, my starter mission is 'claiming competitors chemicals' in system Alrai Sector JH-V B2-4 i arrived at that systems primary star but i have no idea where to find these cargo containers, nothing showin up on sensors at all, im at a complete loss as to where to go, the mission brief isn't terribly detailed either anyone done this mission or one like it ?

Yeah the missions are extremely confusing and lacking of info, sometimes the cargo is in the same dock you took the mission from and sometimes you'll have to buy it and calculate your profit.
In your case see in the mission detials which starpoint containes the goods and to which starpoint you need to deliver.
If you can upload the mission details image I can assist you further more.

Well after fiddling around and jumping over 30 jumps back and forth the local sector i finally found that the goods i was looking for where A Illegal chemicals and B it turned out i had to drop out of ftl close to a faint signature or something along those lines after dropping out they where kinda just floating there in space, where i used my cargo scoop to get them, very confusing indeed but now i at least know what to look for for those kinds of missions.


So as for trade missions you say the best bet is to check my local stations first on commodity market ?


Also i have accumulated quite a lot of astrometric data from various stars etc i scanned, now it says on the starter station i have to go 20ly away to sell it so i am assuming that is about to big jumps / sectors away right ?
