every time i open the level up screen to add new plans i get a huge error and the game closes.

Would you care to tell us what this error message contains? What trainer options you had enabled and what you tried to do exactly?

If you got an error log please use a third party site like pastebin and post the link here in this thread.

I'm getting the same crash. Even if I only activate the trainer without turning on any options, when I go to spend a point or learn a craft it gives the following crash error.

You do use our latest trainer v256.11+ which was uploaded yesterday?

Yes. 256.11 in top right of trainer.
