I'm using the 1.06 trainer for the 1.06 patched W3. You might try running MSCONFIG when it happens to see if maybe some module of the AV is still running in the background and killing the trainer. A lot of the AV apps will lead you to believe you've disabled them only to find out something like real time scanning is still running in background.

I used to use McAfee a few years ago and it did that to me. Even though I thought I had it turned off and had made exceptions for the trainers, it was still killing them. When I called them about it and asked if there was a way to completely disable it, they said "nope." So I said bub-bye to McAfee after that.

Well, it started happening about 2 weeks ago. My AV has been good all this time. And yes, I always give the trainer admin rights. So I'm not quite sure what's going on.

I'm starting to think it's windows 8 because all my trainers for any game just crash/shutdown.

Just tested in windows 7. Same thing. Start the trainer...then after a 30 seconds to a minute or 2...gone.

Nothing in the event viewer either.

uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software. right click run as admin on trainer. once you figure it out then reinstall and contact the vendor for support.

Also guys, I don't know what video cards you have but mine is NVidia and I had a lot of crashing problems with W3 at first. Then I updated my video card drivers to the version that just came out and I have not had a crash in W3 for 5 staright days now. I'm using Win 7 as well and I'm playing the GOG 1.06 version.

The new driver version I installed are 353.30. It's a high probability that your problems involve your AV, firewall or Video card drivers.

Doesn't work for me.
When I press F1, I hear "Trainer Activated" and then trainer stop working/crash.

My game version is GOG 1.06 + all dlc.

And here is my Witcher 3.debug:

I don't have antivirus, my user is in administration group, firewall is disabled, windows defender and other pieces of **** too.

Any idea?

well based on your debug, the trainer isn't able to access the game. so something is blocking it..

I found answer in this large topic.

When I clean browser cache and redownload trainer everything work perfect.

ever since the 1.06 patch the trainer seemingly changes keys after a few min or when i press escape. tab now becomes a level up key and no idea what happens when i press escape, it just says activated.
