If the devs allowed it there will be previous updates allowed to recall so you can use mods and other features that don't work in previous versions...
Note not all games allow this so I'd just recommend right clicking any game you don't want to update and just set it to not auto update. The update still appears in the downloads section but doesn't install unless interacted with. So you'll know the update is there but have the choice to update it or not.
That is the best way to play with mods and the best way to play with a Cheat Happens trainer
Thanks for your hard work Cheat Happens and all that you've been doing. That's why I bought a life time membership after trying out a few trainers and even recommended a few friends to the site and they also bought lifetime.
Have you tried this and it's worked for like how long? I've tried stunning updates on several games before but Steam has updated them anyway. The only exception was Deus Ex HR. For whatever reason that one didn't update.
Well, have you tried it? I tried that with Borderlands-2 but Steam popped up and updated me. The only other workaround is to unplug from the internet but that doesn't always work either.
I wish there was a solid, dependable way to avoid so many blasted updates and I'm sure the guys would like nothing better than to make fewer iterations of trainers for so many patches.
On average, they basically had to make an updated trainer for Sniper Elite 3 every 8 days for 4 months. Now the game is retired. That last trainer didn't last what, like 24 hours, before another patch doomed it. And us.
What about an "Auto-Updating trainer"?
We already enjoy this feature for several games
For sure it needs more works, and not all games can be tweaked
