Tropico 5 Message Board  

As far as I know, till now all of Haemimont games (tropico, omerta....etc) have included cheat codes that helps along with the trainers, but I couldn't find any. I only managed to find a file called "City Cheats.lua" in the data pack of the game, but I cannot read or decompile lua files.
Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys managed to find any cheat codes for tropico 5.

the same cheat codes that worked on the other games in this series apparently do not work on tropico 5. no idea why they decided to do this, but they did..

so far, the only way to cheat in the game is using a trainer

I decompiled CityCheats.lua, but it doesn't contain any hints how activate cheat mode.
It's some kind of panel with buttons.

on Kalypso's discussion forum, there was talk about a cheat mode button in the game when clicking on the Palace, it was shown in one of the gameplay videos of the game but no mention of how to activate it.
so I think that the cheat mode contains some kind of a panel for activating cheats unlike previous games of the series. where you had to enter them manually the old-fashioned way.

Cal, it's their first multiplayer version, perhaps they don't want people cheating in multi?
The clever modders on the Kalypso forums are getting some results, there's code up for changing the population limits for residences.
