I change the name of the file and it works like a charm. thanks.

For those of you that are having the game crash on you when activating the cheat!!!

Step 1: Make sure you are running both Steam and the trainer in admin mode first (if running through steam, make sure you run it in admin).

Step 2: Don't forget to make sure the game updates to latest version on the launcher.

Step 3: Make sure you hit F1 at the main menu and make sure to hear "Activated."

Step 4: ALWAYS pause the game first... wait a few seconds. Hit Numpad 1 and wait for "activated." After you do this... give the game a couple seconds to adjust then turn pause off.

Trick 1: After you pause the game and hit numpad 1. As soon as the money changes.. You can try and hit Esc to get the main menu and save. This might help you get it before it crashes.

Thanks to Caliber including that bit I was able to solve the issue for my non-Steam version getting the 'Game Not Found' error. In fact, it's stupidly simple and worked well for me.

Copy your exe file. Rename the dupe to 'Tropico5Steam', and use the renamed copy to run the game. Tested and works without a crash on my end. Should hold everyone over until there's a non-Steam version of the trainer.
