Did this and it made the trainer actually load up but in game it doesn't do anything(IE cheats don't work) and makes the game crash.

No problem here, the trainer works A-OK.
(Check your antivirus program, some are over-zealous.)

it still just load the customize and nothing else shows up.

Edit: I got it to work after install the packages again.

Can you update this? It doesn't work even after trying the solution from 2014
