ok it appears that for some reason I am getting a developer build . If you get a weird version number like mine try manually downloading a previous version of the game using the following guide

Thanks for the guide! Trying it now, but it seems downloading the older build goes way slower than a standard DL in steam. So many hoops to go through to get a version that matches latest trainer. Wish steam would just let you pick a version through the beta opt in, but only one on there is 1.2, which doesent seem to have a trainer for it. Hope i did everything right and we can get this thing going, really excited to play RE4, as its been a long time for me!
As the admins dont believe there is a new version of RE 4 out there . I have attached the exe file in this message for your reference .
You may check the digital signature date of this file vs the ones for the other versions out there .
no idea. i selected the game, clicked install, then downloaded the top trainer and all worked

Wait, Cal, do you mean the one labeled DE? I havent tried that one, but the one under that just seems to do jack for no reload or ammo. Guess i can try a 3rd time and hope. Or try activating once in game instead of main menu? worth a shot at this point. Ive been using MANY of you guys's trainers for years now, so i know the drill, so maybe some variation from the norm will work for me. /shrug
The DE trainer is for the EU low violence version (DE = German).
