Both of the top trainers dont work for me (update upbeat giraff 2/3,) they updated it again last night / morning of January 31st

It is the way the trainer does not work that bothers me. The .exe of starbound terminates it self upon trainer activation because of "unusual activity". It would be a bummer if they are trying to prevent personal use cheating.

I also have the game shutting itself down as soon as I hit the "Single Player" button if the trainer is activated.
Both are the most recent iterations.

The trainers are not going to work as long as they keep updating it every 12 hours. The trainer will be updated once they get their sht together and can keep from updating it for several days.

Its their 1st big update in almost a year, its common sense that its gonna have issues that need to get resolved..

So the frequent patches isn't really to be unexpected..

But yeah, ill prolly start playin again once the patches start lowering again

I can agree with wizard, those updates are very sporadic. It would be more beneficial for CH to just wait for them to settle and then release a trainer. Game is still fun though.

Give it some time guys. Its not the stable release yet.. start playing when the game haven't been updated for 3-5 days. that means its usually a quite stable build or "acceptable"
