KIS 2014, currently having issues with Steamworld Dig trainer
Personally I rather not uninstall my AV just to play a game. I would exclude my games folder from being scan but some trainers seems to be using tmp files location which I won't exclude.
Indeed. The trainers that are created by the guy who makes the editors, are actually a .net trainer that was wrapped in pwizard loader, so the actual trainer is unpacked to the temp folder to protect distribution of trainers without identification.
It's possible to send the trainers to kaspersky so they would identify it as false positive so you can play them after the next kaspersky definition update.
But that's a long way.
Good luck.
KAV 14 user here. No problems whatsoever regarding KAV and trainers.
I'm using KIS 2014 and also got no problems with the trainers (so far). Notable Mention: I'm using the application in manual mode.

I think its more to those that do nto really now how to use it properly.
It seems that now Kaspersky has jumped on the AVast bandwagon and started flagging our trainers and website as malicious. Just like with AVast, we recommend uninstalling this product and use a better solution that doesn't flag trainers as generic Trojans. We personally recommend the combination of Windows Defender (or MS Security Essentials) plus Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
If you are using Kaspersky, please report to them that our files and website are safe so that hopefully they will remove this false positive from their software.

I too have Kaspersky and to avoid the trainers getting flagged, what I do is I list all trainers in the exclusions folder. If you add the trainers as excluded then the AV application will bypass the trainers folder.
