Too many updates? From this completely polished game that was going to require no updates at all?

In my opinion, the frequent updates seem to come at no surprise to me. The developers for this game have been really responsive to player feedback throughout, so I'm not surprised if tweaks are being made, bugs are getting fixed, or some new small features are being added from time to time, even after release.

Anyway, when it comes to easily-moddable games like this, with game parameters embedded in plain text files and all, I'm pretty okay without trainers for this particular game on my end (when I wish to not play normally, that is).

That being said, though I'm grateful for the frequent trainer updates, I'm perfectly okay with that frequency reduced, and only release another trainer when no new updates has been released after a set period of time (or longer than the current, if you are already doing that).

I concur, but after playing with the trainer I find easier to apply the features I'm interested in and leave the others "quiet"

And I don't have to fiddle with the game files (had fun) who might be updated regularly, preventing me to send the log file(s) to Oliver ((corrupted data, same for trainer) in case of CTD.

But, yes, 0x90 might get tired to redo the same trainer over and over

EDIT: forgot to mention version 1.0003 is out and crash the trainer (or vice-versa)

As long as they continue making only small changes it's fine but when the time comes and they start to rewrite all parts of the game so I have to start from scratch you can be sure it will have another break.

Anyway updated trainer will be posted soon.

Ive given up on the trainer to be honest, too many updates for them to try to keep up with, plus mordor is out today, so playing that alot.

For cheats ive used the method posted in this forum about shield modding, and created a modded uber enhancement for every system, Uber_Shield, Uber_Power etc, that have massive stats.

So my weapons have massive range, my sheild have massive strength, and regen instantly, my cloak is impossible to detect, and the chance my weaps wotn decloack me is 100%. Much better, and I dont have to worry about the trainer, or the patches messign with the trainer again.

Plus ive noticed if i have the trainer activated and options enabled, sometiems the game hangs during an ingame custscene, and i loose all my progress.

    Can you share your mod?

sure, basicly you look up the file for the system enhancement you want in your folder:
    Steam\SteamApps\common\Starpoint Gemini 2\Spg2\Base

And change the line for the enhancment you want. Just install any enchancent from a station, the cheapest is fine then save your game. Then open the file for that enchantment e.g Shields.wdt (notepad++ works best) and find the line with the shield enhancement you have installed, and copy over the line (not deleting the first number, thats the item ID) with my custom line. I cant upload the files, cause the enhancments are different for different stations, i have to change my files when changeign to a different ship, because the stations didnt offer the same enhancements, but i'll upload a text file with the modded lines. Link

It soudns a bit complicated, but its really rather easy.

Try the "ClermasStationFireSale" mod from Steam workshop, you'll find anything you need
