I am confused. your saying this game patched again? can someone tell me what the definition of patch is? is that what this game is doing? is it patching or is it actually broken? I am so confused..

it's just a case of a patch needing a hotfix within the first 24h

the days when it took months to get a patch for a game are over thx to steam.

the problem is they had good ideas in the expansion but they didn't do enough testing to see what happen on release. The free 1.6 patch unlocked the paid features of the expansion, and broke things as well. It wasn't just people complaining.

no.. the days of ACTUALLY TESTING YOUR PRODUCT AND PUTTING OUT A WORKING PATCH are over thanks to steam..

developers can now throw junk against the wall to see what sticks and use the paying public as quality control and bug squashers..

people actually used to test their games before releasing to the public, and patches USED to be IMPROVEMENTS of the game or new features, NOT FIXES OF LITERALLY BROKEN GAMES.

this game has patched a ridiculous number of times.

The Europa Universalis series has been a beta test since EU1, really. I remember EU2 being essentially unplayable when it came out due to all the new stuff. EU4 has been a ton of fun especially Ironman with the Cheathappens trainer! They're ironing out small bugs instead of having gigantic game stoppers every time. I just wish they wouldn't break the trainer every time they do a minor patch.
