@jrodman - If you have a problem with our "ghetto tmpfile executable method" then I will happily show you the door and you can get your better trainers elsewhere.

Also, you "assume" that your Humble Bundle version is the same as our version. Maybe you shouldn't be buying the cheap-ass ghetto version of the game and buy the real version on Steam and the trainer might work like it's intended?

It doesn't help that this high quality game developer uses some ghetto programming which launches different code based on about 20 different variables on each person's PC and we have to try and match all of the various combinations. Also, since the game is broken it has to patch every day which causes us to completely start the process over again.

It seems to me that it's simply the version update, when I tried the first trainer, my game was on .10a now it's on .11 because steam updates automatically.

I love the game even without a trainer it just niggles at my patience for gold :P.

Hopefully one day the game will chill on the updates so you guys can catch up with your hard work

There's no need to take it personally.

It's certainly awkward when running the programs that you get a dialog box that states "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\~Mmm123.tmp: This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Pleaseinstall a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

This would certainly not occur if the executable simply launched directly.

The term "ghetto" is something I use regularly to refer to kludges in my code as well as other programs. There's no animus.


As an aside, I certainly did *not* assume that the two versions of the game are the same, which is why I explicitly stated that I suspected they were the same, but to be sure provided md5sums of the files. I don't have the steam version so I can't compare them, but anyone who does can with the information provided.


I did expect a higher quality of workmanship in the trainers. I think that's fair for prices being charged. I don't envy the difficulty of keeping up with so many games, but that's the problems you signed up for.

If you'd prefer to cancel my membership and refund my money though, I certainly won't mind. It's your service.

if it were me I WOULD refund your money.

you use ONE trainer on a low budget game that is using some sort of compile at runtime game engine that (apparently like 2 or 3 other games) apparently creates different code on different machines (likely due to users who have bizarre setups or the like similar to you who apparently can't run .exe's unless they are named with suffix .exe like your machine or have 1 of a million different programs blocking the trainer launcher from launching the trainer and/or injecting code). and you going to complain about high quality?

i'd be willing to bet the problem is 100% on your end 'smart guy'. and it's probably one of the following

1 wrong version of game (i.e. not steam and not legit steam)
2 something blocking the trainer from running the .exe from the launcher in the temp folder (i.e. YOUR STUPID ERROR AT LAUNCH)
3 something blocking the trainer from injecting code into the game (and YES trainers have to have ADMIN PRIVILEDGES)

users like you are more trouble than you are worth, because you DONT appreciate the work, post jerk postings, and think you know everything.

I haven't looked at this title but I will later today and see what I can do with it. why people are all enamored with these crossover iphone conversion games that are 10 bucks and have 8 bit graphics I WILL NEVER KNOW. but you can bet I am not going to put 3 days of coding into them and have to deal with 20+ updates while the developers of these dink games fix all their bugs using paid customers as quality control..

0x90 responded PERSONALLY multiple times and did MULTIPLE updates trying to put something out for this TURD GAME. the problems lies with the fact that developers are using 'catch all' SDK engines to make games now so they can try to sell their 10 dollar Atari Clone games from 1990 on 5-6 different systems (i.e. mac, pc, iphone, Linux, etc.) and that these engines have 'compilers' that work independently on each machine and create code on the fly (and sometimes re-creates code later). the second problem is know it all users who refuse to read the trainer troubleshooting and have any number of programs on their machine that is blocking the trainer or preventing it from doing what it has to do to work.

whether pwiz dumps you from our membership is up to him..

Patch 1.0.11 is out, this now supports downloading actual patches but I don't know what else this update addresses.

EDIT:
Major Changes:
- Fixed bug where the player could kill a boss and die at the same time.
- Fixed bug where game would crash when entering the lineage screen if the audio engine failed to initialize.
- Implemented another check for skill tree corruption.
- Fixed bug with back up save system if player data was corrupt from the very start.
- Fixed bug where back up save system didn't work properly on corrupted maps and map data.

General fixes:
- Message box will now appear if the game crashes.
- Fixed bug where crash logs were not being generated if the game crashed inside its constructor.
- Fixed bug where Paladins could block their own spells.
- Fixed exploit where player could drop through platforms while controls were locked.
- Fixed bug where impact effect resource pool ran out of resources.
- Fixed bug where Item drop Manager resource pool ran out of resources.
- Typo fixed for Death Defy.

Balance Changes:
- Shinobi can no longer get the timestop spell.
- Dragon fireball spam re-enabled.
- Knight Special drain rate tic raised from 3 to 6.
- Assassin Class spell initialization cost lowered from 10 to 5.
- Assassin Class spell tic rate raised from 5 to 7.
- Asassin mana pool lowered from 0.75 to 0.65.
- Barbarian Special raised from 15 to 20.
- Mage Int bonus lowered from 1.3 to 1.25

I've sent an updated trainer for version 1.0.11 to Chris which was successfully tested by another member where the previous trainer didn't worked.

But for those who still have problems, I've coded a savegame editor which should do the job. The savegame editor also features more options like editing stats or the maximum weight.

Hopefully you'll find it useful.

Thanks! Just know you might see a few peeps here and there complain, but thats nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands who have used your trainers (whoever made them, thanks by the way, to all of you!), and with much joy and appreciation.
I just wanted to let all those who make my trainers know that If I could make trainers as good as you's I would be right there next to you, helping find values and lightening your load. I sometimes have to make my own trainers for games. If I could, I would offer my services to disgruntled customers, walking them through how to use one of the hex editors or memory editors, so they could hack their health themselves. I wish I could help yas. Anyway, good luck guys. You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time. Don't sweat the small stuff.
