Disney has recently released information about licencing star wars games out to EA and it's developers over the next couple years including DICE, BioWare, and Visceral. The much awaited Battlefront 3 is being developed by DICE.

this news is very exciting, my fingers are crossed that BioWare got a KOTOR contract.

From what I have seen inhouse with Battlefront 3.... it will be amazing

It has been in the works for a while now believe it or not.

You might get to see some footage at E3 :P

I won't hold high hopes for Battlefront 3 until I try it myself personally.

If it comes with some sort of a LOG, like Starlog etc, that's a minus. Having to open a browser to launch your game is beyond a bad idea.

And like I said in my blog, it will most likely just be a re-skinned Battlefield 3/4, pretty much like Battlefield 4 is compared to Battlefield 3. Copy/paste, rename, repackage, edit MP and SP maps a bit so it seems like something's been done on the game, minimum of 5 DLCs, Premium service, selling kits and unlocks etc.

If DICE really needs the money from us, customers, they could have just made BF1943 for the PC or BF2143 since BF2142 was just a mod anyway, not just go COD on every BF fan and milk it until it dies. Then milk it some more.

I am surprised they didn't show extended CGI at E3 for BF3. Although it did leak a couple of months ago and was quickly nipped at the source.

But there was a lot of ahhhhhhs for DA:I, but it is not going to be like Skyrim... just similar in an open world type of thing.

But MP matches will be awesome if we pull it off, think of joining up with some people to take on a city with siege weapons and the like.

A lot of people went crazy for Mirror's Edge 2, DICE also doing it of course.

I thought EA didn't care about getting licencing to do things lololololo

On topic... So what? EA hasn't made a truly good game in almost a decade. Given BF3's MP is pretty good but the SP is a waste of calories, I'm pretty much expecting Battlefront X to be the same.

Bioware is now part of EA. I REALLY hope a sequel to Knights of the Old Republic is made.

i'm hoping for a prequel since SWTOR took the liberty of trying to continue from the kotor 2 timeline. i would rather not play a kotor game that is derived from the events and plot lines of SWTOR.

bioware could make several great kotor games about The Great Sith War(with Exar Kun) and The Mandilorian Wars using the unreal engine (same engine used with mass effect 3)

IN a decade? I think thats a bit of an exaggeration, but it does come down to tastes of people, you may not like the games released but others do.
