Even at the new price, lifetime is worth it. I can't count how many times I've paid more than that for a single Collector's Edition of some game I don't play anymore... whereas my CH membership has added value to almost every game I've bought.
Dollar for dollar, it's still the best possible video-game-related investment that a PC gamer can make.
I feel almost guilty for getting my lifetime membership for $35 or whatever it was at the time. I'm seriously considering donating and getting a T-shirt to further show my support... unfortunately Christmas cleaned me out pretty good, lol.
If those T-shirts are still around this summer, I might have to put my money where my mouth is. There is no doubt that you guys deserve every penny that rolls your way - and more, I'm sure.
I joined cheathappens it was an exclusive place to get access to trainers from games which you could never receive freely from amateur coders. Professionally coded trainers which receive ongoing support (mainstream games anyway.)
What I feel bad for however is that some of the old games I use to play (Cossacks the art of war, Imperium Galactica 2) have never received one trainer from this website. I have played games and wanted to go get the trainer, only to realise the trainer for that game has suddenly stopped receiving support. Sometimes even, the old downloads are completely removed. Why?, usually because the game is ****ing one of the trainer devs off by:
Being generally too buggy Constantly reciving updates User Base is being ungrateful for what they already have (happens more than it should)
The last point is what gets me down. Why do you end trainer support for a game when all that is happening is 3-4 13 year olds are retarded and don't understand the world of electronics yet and think they're BIG MEN attacking you with their keyboard words. Just lock the thread, you have moderators don't you?
Otherwise, I'm impressed with the majority of trainer support and the still wide range that it has to offer.
I hope there will be a trainer dev that will pickup some old games and wonder what kind of gaming experience awaits them after cracking some old codes, especially cossacks, that game had no population limit! IMAGINE THE WARS!
This might sound really stupid,( feel free to laugh and fall off a stool) , these price increases only affect people on memberships due to expire yes? Ie: I've a lifetime membership from years ago , not liable for the gap between prices? (Ok free to laugh now )
