Having an issue here. Far Cry 3 seems to be crashing ingame. I'll play maybe half hour or 5 minutes sometimes and the game will crash the entire computer, the screen will freeze and the computer will require a reboot via the power switch. Any ideas guys?
Try playing the game with the Borderless setting in the Graphics or Video settings, I think I heard TB saying it decreases the chance of lockups in his WTF vid about the game.

Hey Alpha 164,
Fixed the issue after multiple flip arounds. I disabled the online component of the ubiplay system and viola the game works like a charm now. Dont have a clue whats going on. But as soon as the online ability is activated the game crashes.
can you explain how you did that? i mean how can you disable the ubiplay component ...
thanks =]
Right click on the game executable on your desktop, go to properties, add behind the line the target with a space: -offline. So your target line will eventually look like this: "E:\Far Cry 3\bin\farcry3_d3d11.exe" -offline
Depending ofcourse on where you installed your game.
go to the installation disk go to the support directory make sure to install directx, the .net, the visual C stuff, and go ahead and reinstall UPLAY there as well.
next, if you have nvidia graphics card, make sure to get the latest drivers.
AND! some people have had to upclock or downclock their graphics cards a bit to prevent crashes.
