Uplay should have upgraded your game to 1.01. Make sure you completely uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software. right click run as admin on trainer and game. Use the non-steam version of the trainer.

On the steam version of the trainer stealth can't be used when pick pocketing the guard that has they key and when stealth is active the objective can't be completed, so you have to turn off stealth and even exit the game to the menu and start again without stealth active from your last save point, also once you have the key and your in the the shed/barn the three guards you have to kill, the game while crash if the trainer is active!..
owe when I had the trainer on and picked or busted the lock in the opera house the game crashed and I had to start the memory sequence from the last save point without the trainer or it crash the game going through the door!..
I'm re-installing my AC3 game because I bought AC3 season pass from steam and nothing from the steam season pass installed!..
I bought the season pass a hour after AC3 was released on steam today!..
I have done just that, I just now tried the run as admin for both and either one and it still crashes once I hit the last save.
How would I update with uplay if it hasn't updated it yet or can I remove Uplay completely?

Unfortunately, Uplay is tied to the game, you can't play without it. Been that way for the last 2 or 3 Assassin's Creed games (Ubisoft is super paranoid about piracy).
I'm wondering, who is the trainer WORKING for? I myself am running Win8 64-bit, but I've seen users with Win7 experiencing the same problem. Daax seems to have physical disc from Amazon, I downloaded from uplay... I'm just wondering what the common denominator is.

To be exact, I ordered it from amazon as a download, having a disc or a download should make no difference. I may be wrong.
I am running Win 7 64 bit - I ran the trainer in compatibility mode with Windows 7, XP SP2, Vista and NT just to try and had no luck.
