I downloaded the Pirate dlc about a week ago, around the same time that the update hit on the 25th. I also downloaded the new trainer. Now I cannot play the game. It refuses to load - and then I get a message that the application is running.
Forgot to mention that I am using Steam.
I have tried every "fix" listed in the Steam support and no joy. I have sent a message to Steam support and help or reply from them for a week now. I don't think the problem is with my machine - it is an Alienware Aurora 4, top of the line with quad intel i7 processors factory overclocked, 32gb memory and dual nvidia 690 cards. I have verified that all drivers are current and updated. Any ideas???
Have you been backing up your save files? If not, back them up.
Now, have you tried rebooting your PC?
Next, have you tried a re-install? DLC first, then BL2 if necessary?
Some simple things to do, for sure, but sometimes they work for me.

Have deleted all content and re-installed - no joy.
Like I said, have tried everything I can think of as well as those recommended in the steam support sites. I did not see anything in the BL2 forums related to this.
Also didn't mention earlier that I am running Win 7 pro (64bit).
RWiggins - does the game crash at start-up or when you try to enter Oasis? Have you got the latest trainer? Occasionally, the game refused to load & would crash when I had tried to run an older trainer. Simple to try, anyway.....hope it helps.
