For your day, whether you are about to face it or you have already bashed your way through it, describe what you would've rather done instead.

For example, I went to school today.

I would rather have stayed in bed, slept in while the weather was so cold and wet and then spend the afternoon at the beach, watching the sky until well after dark when the weather clears up.

I'd rather have... Well, I don't think it needs to be said.

If I still would get paid, I would first sleep in a couple more hours, then I would get caught up on all the footage I need to edit so that's out of the way.

If that was all said and done, I would probably take the motorcycle out in the hills.
