Cheat Engine is actually easy, you have to get the hang of it - just go through the tutorial, which will seem totally irrelevant but its not. It only takes a few minutes to increase money, alloys or weapon fragments (the ones I did).

just follow the tutorial in cheat engine but pretty much open the game and cheat engine. up the top left click the little computer then down the bottom of the little comp screen click window list then then select xcom .exe which should be there provided you opened the game. go to grey market in game, choose an item with 5 or so (sectoid corpse for example) then alt tab to cheat engine, put in the number of sectoid corpses in the value box (next to hex and above scan type:exact value),click "first scan" and it will give you a list of numbers in the side box. alt tab into game again and change the sectoid corpse number by selling one. then type that number in the value box and click the "next scan" button, repeat until there is only one number in the let hand box. double click that number and it will pop up in the bottom box. click on the thing that pops up in th ebottom box and an x will appear on the left of it. press enter and change the value to what ever u like (1000 sectoid corpses equals 5000 dollars etc). alt tab into game and sell them all. This may seem long process when written like thsi but it took me literally 5 minutes and im completely useless with computers. gl an hoped this helped get you some dosh
