Just installed Crysis, gonna do another playthrough, then Crysis Warhead and then Crysis 2. Wanna beat em all again so the story so far will be fresh in my head when i start Cry3
C1 is a beauty indeed, Warhead is an extension of C1 - loved it too. C2 blew me away - I always have a blast playing it, preordered C3 for 30 bucks
Despite loving the game, I think the AUS online stores overprice the hell out of games. You'll get a game at 29.99 on the American store, then you view it in the AUS store and it's 79.99 bucks. get outta here.
I absolutely adored Warhead, but really was not the biggest fan of vanilla Crysis, nor Crysis 2 - I don't really like fighting the aliens. At all. I'm not sure on Crysis 3 yet, but on the plus side, I really love the compound bow; every game could be improved with one/any form of bow. On the downside, that "Seven Wonders of Crysis 3" trailer series is obnoxious. I mean, seriously? Your game is so amazingly awesome that you got a film director to make machinima in it and compare it to the seven wonders of the world?! Blegh.
Side-note: The novelization of 2, Crysis: Legion was actually a really, really good book. It made the plot a lot deeper, explained and elaborated on a lot of stuff, and generally plugged up plotholes. It also made the Nanosuit horrifying.
I loved Crysis and Crysis Warhead. Crysis 2 seems way to "on the rails" for me and I never finished.
They're saying this one, Crysis 3, will be more open, but not to the extent of the first.
Any thoughts?
The first one was also on rails but due to it being in the jungle allowed for a bigger area to roam around in, but it was not like farcry and the where you could look on the map you could go.
Crysis Warhead was the same deal looked open, but it was also on rails, autobarriers that had an invisible wall you could not jump over, barbwire with the same issue, those maps where big yes but they funnel'd you to the objective, same as Crysis 2.
Crysis 2 was also full of options take a storm drain here or 2-3 other directions to get to a target, my only major issue with crysis 2 was the earlie release and broken MP, it was released with to many bugs in MP mode, SP was good and no major issues for me unlike some people with the game crashing.
Hope Crysis 3 has a better MP launch then Crysis 2, the SP i have no doubt will live up to my expectations of a Crysis game.
