Has anyone heard anything about the upcoming release of Carrier Command Gaea Mission by Masteronic?
I've been on the website (www.carriercommand.com), it's remake of the original 80's classic. I had it on the Spectrum ZX 128 and loved, remember playing over 16 hours in one go, with help from a couple of peak and poke commands!!!! My mum was very angry with me as all she could hear next door was me mumbling away as I tried to get close to destroying the ACC Omega enemy carrier but never quite got there....
The trailers seem to show a fairly cheesy, standard type of story, not really inspiring but the actual gameplay, first/third person, action or strategy or a combination of both make it look very interesting.
I wasn't even aware it was being released so soon as I thought it had been cancelled in 2010 but I am intrigued.
Mantra's, Walrus's (Walrii?) and the ACC Epsylon all seem to have come across pretty well and the trailer certainly seems to mimic the originals mechanics and processes so I am pretty hopeful that they'll pull it off.
But more importantly it appears to be perfect for getting the treatment from the CH Team to cheat and trainer the works!
So if anyone else is interested, maybe we can request some kind of trainer when it's released? I certainly will wait for the reviews before I get it but I am pretty keen on revisiting a truly memorable classic, fingers crossed that it plays as good as it would appear.
