Is there a manual save option for PC or do you still have to visit the bonfire every time?

No. Bonfire, or Save & Quit.

Well so far there is that fix for the internal resolution and I've used it and it does work for now. As for controls I did not even try the keyboard as I knew from the beginning that those controls would be awful. I have to say that playing with an Xbox controller is different for me as I'm used to the PS3 controller. I find myself using the triggers instead of LB or RB when I want to attack or block at times. Felt better with the PS3 controller but until I can figure out how to get that to work with the game, I shall just play as is.

Bonfire crashes I have not encountered yet in my game either so that sound like something is wrong on your end madatcheats.

Haven't got much farther than the Tauraus demon (probably spelled that wrong, its the first boss that's on top of the castle wall) as I was about to get to a new farther bonfire but died so I'm taking a break before fighting my way back.

How is everyone else's experiences going?

One of the irritating things that I came across is the visible mouse cursor.

And the resolution, ofc.

My 360 gamepad worked first crack, with the res fix this game runs very stable on win 7x64 for me no probs, its no wonder devs love producing games for consoles, think of the thousands of variables that could go wrong for system problems with a computer, none of that for a xbox or p3.....and people just keep *****ing hehe.

So far so good with resfix and using a logitech controller. I tried m+b first which was a total nightmare.

Overall with a controller the game is relatively fun and intuitive. I got as far as the bridge dragon that breaths fire. Shot it's tail off, got the drake sword. Logging for the night.

I'm using Durante's DSfix (3840x2160 downsampled to 1080p), ingame aa and blur off, and it looks amazing compare to default. Fps also remains constant 30 even in Blighttown on my 6950. The only thing that bothers me is that messages won't display because of the resolution fix.

Bonfire crash had to do with a general save problem. My life version was fubar and I had to reinstall. I gonna try the resolution fix and wait for the 360 wireless adapter to arrive. Keyboard is a nightmare.

btw, demon souls and dark souls never had a pause function imo to add strategic difficulty.
