currently playing Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion but without a SP Campaign...it just feels empty and soul-less. and not interested in Turn Based Strategy.

But other than that..... there isn't that much else worth playing, there has been a couple of others but they weren't that great.

Unless you wanna try Star Wolves which technically is half RTS.

There is also Imperium Galactica 1 and 2, hard to get though.

O.R.B. a homeworld clone in a sense.

Sword of the Stars also, but meh not as good as Space Empires IV.

yea..i was thinking about Star Trek Armada 2...but i'm not sure it'll run on Win7 Ultimate...or will it?

it seems like Space Based RTS is a dying genre. what else can we look at?

DABhand..if u had to pick one...that would run on Win7 Ultimate...with a story based SP campaign...which would it be?

Homeworld 1's graphics may be dated but it still kicks ass.

Homeworld 2 had better graphics and sound, it was really the first western game to have middle eastern music flavour and the tracks were great.

Fingers crossed for Homeworld 3 since Sierra is gone. And Relic has hinted that it isn't totally scrapped.

Good thing about Homeworld 1 and 2 is that they are easily moddable, and you can find numerous mods out there, people have even came up with new SP campaigns etc. Some have brought the Star Trek, Star Wars and Babylon 5 worlds to Homeworld 2.

For a more up to date game, which has semi Space RTS but mostly planet side RTS, would be Star Wars : Empires at War. Still a good RTS.

okay. thank u. i just got Homeworld 2. tried getting Homeworld 1...but cudn't. right off the bat i'll say this...i'm so bloody impressed with this game.

firstly its so colorful..so beautiful. its simple to play and such a unique concept...a big mothership with its own resource collection and production and research. no traditional base building.

what impressed me most was that the control groups stayed constant from mission to mission. u don't have to reconfigure.

thank u DABhand for suggesting this game to me. its fun to play.
