I didn't say it should be retired but usually you guys are very good about this and apparently on every version the AI gets the same cheats, all I asked was if this could be fixed or not. Is it just an oversight, or is it impossible to fix due to a limitation?
I did not mean to offend you. I know you deal without alot of **** everyday and I wasn't trying to add to it. Hope you accept my apology. I don't want it retired, it would just be nice if the AI which is either really stupid or really good, did not benifit from the cheats that I use.
To be honest the only reason I bought the membership today was so I could use some cheats on the game to make it easier, please don't retire it.
I'm using 1.0.5 trainer and I haven't seen enemies getting bonuses from the two cheats. I'm not sure about Dust cheat, but they're not getting any research. After each match I check the results and every enemy AI is galaxies behind me in everything, research, resources, population etc. And when I make peace with them they keep spamming me to send them my technology because they have none.
Are you sure about this? I checked the AI overall score ingame and its much higher than mine, even though I gave myself many many technologies, its only 20 turns in and pirates are at my doorstep with huge forces.

It could depend on the difficulty. I'm playing on Normal all the time.
It is very typical for enemy AI to try and match or exceed everything you are doing when playing at high difficulty levels. People blame the trainers for this all the time when in reality it is just the game compensating and trying to give you the difficulty you asked for.

I won't retire the game at this time, but please note that if there is additional negative feedback then it will be. We have too many other games to focus on making trainers for that people do appreciate. We have been making trainers for MANY YEARS. If the enemy is getting benefits from the trainer, that was NOT our intent and it's not because of us being "sloppy" or "lazy". When everything in the game flows through a single address, it becomes difficult and sometimes impossible to distinguish between the two in a way that won't break other parts of the game. These games, typically written in some scripting language, are difficult to make trainers for and so we do our best and try to come up with options that are beneficial.

The trainer is SUPPOSED to say Cannot Find Game then a few seconds later SAYS ACTIVATED.
READ The Read Me File for god sakes!
For the Add Dust, wait for it to say ACTIVATED then press the key a few times then goto a Planet View.
Your Dust should change.
If it doesnt Hold the Key down and Continually keep switching back and forth from Planet View.
It SHOULD Work.
If it doesnt then someone made a thread on here having a Save Editor in it. IT WORKS!!! so if you're gonna complain about a little thing like Dust(Money) Then USE THE EDITOR!
Learn.. To.. Read.. READ ME Files! Or Hit TRAINER INSTRUCTIONS in the Trainer.
If the trainer doesnt work for you then use the save editor.
Sorry Mods but that stuff shouldnt be so hard that people cant do it.
Oh also.. Cal, do you think you could atleast try to mess around with the Trait points in the Custom.. Just to see if its possible anyway.. If you dont want to thats fine, just an idea.

Oh, also guys.. If the AI benefits from the Trainer who cares? Sure it may make it harder but thats some of the fun in it. Just switch to a lower difficulty if you're having issues.
Cheating IMO adds replay value and can extend the life of a game. if a game decides to fight back because of it then good for the game.
I for one apreciate your efforts on making trainers for these games.For those you are complaining they should try to edit their save games and see how much fun that is. Then multiply that 500% of frustration level to see how hard it is to make trainers for some games.
BTW have learned a few things about how the game works by reading thru all of that mess that is a save game, everyone should try it for a bit. If they still arent happy then can try dowloading an editor, Hopefully obe that is safe, and give that a whirl
