The topic refers not to fun and giggles in the game but to silliness that is happening outside the game.

I have just watched out of curiosity two videos uploaded to Youtube with someone ranting about how the games tutorial does not give full instrction how to do eveything that is reuqired of you in the game.

I feel that to get upset about something like this in the way the person who made these videos does is very silly and over the top.

And yes I know that people are allowed to have their own opinions.

If you want to see the videos here they are:

OH SHEEEEEET ITS THAT GUY AGAIN!!!!

This guy was an oldee on the Bioware forums, he would post threads talking about a part of the game in the guise of a help me feel to it, and when people tried to help him he would go "moan moan moan... why don't you read what it said... this is not what I asked"

He did that until I got on his case, annoyed him so much he even posted a video on youtube to tell me :P Can't find that video now think it was deleted.

Yeah it was deleted.. Shame..

But you can re-live my epic re-troll back to him in full 3D or some crap like that..

@Dlenny - perhaps you could have posted a disclaimer that the guy drops a couple of f-bombs and the like... I opened the first vid with my kid sitting right there. Not the end of the world, but a heads-up would have been nice.
Aside from that, who listens to a guy that that much... it just makes him sound like an ignoramus.

In as much as his video was silly... I think the slew of complaints over the endings seems to be a bit silly. I myself have not had the time to finish the game yet (limited on time since the game's release), but I cannot imagine complaints to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) because you did not like the ending of a game, movie, a song, etc. As I understand it, Bioware took quite the hit at the BBB basically over people's dissatisfaction with the end sequence of the game. I am sure that there was more to it, but the overreaction to the games end seems asinine.

@The Admiral. My apologies for not giving warning about all the foul language that was in the video.

I've finished the game and I definitely understand the frustration and even anger some people are feeling.

keep in mind that this is a game that has sold itself principally on the idea that it is an extended RPG/adventure story (with a bit of third person shooter mixed in) which you as the player have a fundamental role in shaping.

Your decisions at every turn are meant to count. Choices from earlier games come back to reward or haunt you in later games.

You are meant to invested at an intellectual, and even emotional level. That's what brings people back to fork out their hard earned cash.

I thought the ending was cr*p to put in mildly, and it wasn't because I wanted a puppy dogs and fluffy kittens option.

It was because in the last 5 minutes of the game Bioware shredded everything that had had been built up to that point. It seemed to fumble and fail in every possible way, and on every possible level.

It was like the last bit of the story was written by some moderately talented 13 year old scifi geek/wannabe writer who had only been told the rest of the story as a ten minute verbal synopsis by his gamer mates, before tacking on his misshaped piece of polished poo.

It tried to be more epic than epic while making almost no sense.

It threw away all the richly developed characters that you had worked with and against without a second thought.

It rendered several of the fundamental achievements that you had worked towards as pointless.

It gave you a moderate array of convoluted and abstracted choices to end with, all of which made your sacrifices and choices seem somewhat more universally damaging than if you had simply never gotten involved. Seriously. When I understood the the broader consequences of each choice I couldn't see how simply letting the Reapers win would be more harmful.

I wholeheartidly agree. The extinction of all intelligent life in the galaxy is definitly far more preferable to temporarily losing instantanious travel.

I wish Legion didn't die, that's it.

Sure the ending was bad, but Legion is in my opinion one of the better characters in the Mass Effect games, and by the time you met him in ME2, well if you're like me who got all the non-essential quests out of the way first, you didn't see much of him. Only in ME3 I truly realised how incredibly awesome he was.

Also: I picked Garrus for 90% of the game (and in ME1, ME2 aswell), Javik only for the last mission and Thessia because he had his reasons to want to give the Reapers the beans, and he was the one to get out of the Normandy alongside my romance option, which made me dislike the ending even more...
