It was removed, as the only purpose it had was to prevent issues. Caliber found a way to resolve said issues without the "/" option so it probably won't be brought back as it serves no purpose.
Well, it doesnt work for me - using trainer freeze my game every time i end my turn. It didnt happen in previous versions with "/" off option. Im using steam tws2 - fall of the samurai. Any ideas? coz restarting the whole game each time i press F1 isnt fun
I am getting the same issue now as well. It worked fine for about 2 days, then, out of nowhere it started crashing before battle and in between turns. I wonder if they found a way to counter the trainer again, thou I have not had an update pushed, but they could have don't it upon connection to the server, when it downloads the "news" for the corner gadget?
Don't know what to tell you, downloaded the latest trainer from the vanilla Shogun 2 trainer page (not Fall of the Samurai) and it worked without any problems.
Make sure any firewalls, antivirus, UAC are off, and that both game and trainer are being run as admin. (none of this was necessary in my system, but all are different)
I opened the trainer, then the game, and at the main menu pressed F1.

ive downloaded trainer for vanilla + fots - make sure uac is off as well as my antivir and firewall and still same problem.
aaaand yes i was trying to run as admin aswell
its fresh instalment - reinstalled it yesterday
when i press F1 in main page i cant start new campaign nor load a game - its just freeze or throw me to desktop
few months ago i had the same problem but activating trainer on campaign map and using off option before ending turn did the trick - now without this option i cant use trainer.... well i kinda can - save game - quit and relaunch game :P
anyway im open for any solution or magic trick
The newest FotS trainer is also causing crashes for me. I hadn't played in a while, the older trainers with the / disabling all options used to work fine.
The strange thing is that the game doesn't crash *every* turn, even though I use 1 and 4 every turn. I also turn them off every turn but that doesn't seem to matter.
Most times it's straight CTD, but I also had freezing when my turn starts.
happened to me as well, since the new trainer its all about crash crash crash and crash.

i am done supporting this title any more. if the game patches again we may look at updating the trainers for that, but any other questions please rely on the other forum members to help you.
Sorry for your troubles, but I just played 20+ turns with the old/alternative version and had no crashes or other issues. Thanks for re-upping it!

Could you mind tell me how you do it since whenever I try to start new campaign I CTD whatever Shogun 2 trainer I activate on first turn.
