to get back on topic if you want to down alot of enemies with minimum fuss its your choice on a class that suits you but both sent and soldier are designed for just this purpose. other classes need more skill to play and are recomend for the more hardcore gamers

Soldier just doesnt seem like fun with only different ammo types to choose from..

Or do you get to customize your power set later on in the game?

Eh, yeah. I meant Adept. If you want a soldier+biotics you should go for... vanguard, was it? I forget.

Still invincible. xD
Warp + Singularity = Biotic Explosion combo; all enemies in a large area dead. (I picked a few that up^ damage and a few that up^ the area of effect, so it's devastating.)
Throw, Pull, Shockwave, and Fortification as my extra skill bonus that enhances shields/barriers while it's active, and when you de-activate it you gain a huge melee attack boost for a short while... Not that I ever make use of the latter.
