Hiring Mercs is obvious and easy but is there anyway to fire them? Also, where is the option to select how long a Merc will work for you? Like 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, etc?

And has anyone tried to kill a Merc with another Merc? Is this possible? I haven't tried.

you can aim with one merc at the other and kill each other, yes. they just stand there and get shot and then die.

They have created the game as simple as it can be. There are many missing functions, like militia training, more then only one attachmentslot for guns, 2 ready weapons etc etc...

Yeah. All this game did for me was make me want to play JA2 again. 10 hours in so far.

The game looks far from finish. Heck the original release kept crashing on me now the patch fixed that. There are plenty of functions from original JA2 missing here. I am also having problems merging squads and etc...

I've been pretty disappointed too, having to arm each militia is slow, can't easily transfer equipment between mercs, no fog of war, AI that seem to like running into hails of bullets. Hopefully it'll see some (content heavy) patches in the coming months.
