well no patchs without devs nor company, only way left is to hack the game to gain console, or litterall decode whole engine

the problem is the same like the first bioshock. It's the unlimited items that's break and block the quest. You have to start all over. EA say nothing, no patch. So hold fast !

Start new game. Load trainer. Only use the easy kills option. Run through the main quest exclusively using the bow (one shot kills everything). Don't pick up any items unless you have to. Don't buy anything. Complete hunters hunted and coming storm quests in main quest line. Then play as otherwise.

Can report: encountered same bugs on first play through. Second play through, stuck to only main quest, used only easy kill turning it off before each major interaction (Any meeting with arthr, the ettin and arthr, Gnash, and the High King)and made to complete the coming storm with no issues.

Any other hiccups ahead?

I played the game for a week or so, explored, did side quests, - until realized my main quest is broken at that stage, the npc in Didenhill doesnt has any dialogue at all, and starting from the previous saves doesnt solves the problem. I started the new character, made the fast run util this quest. Same bug!
I used only the 'easy kills' cheat for my third (current) character. And the quest finally works!

Wish I would have seen this post earlier or known about the bug 3 attempts now getting ready to start my 4th play through... sigh ...

Well I've played this game twice thru before and never had this bug. Now, my third playthru (after several years) I'm using a trainer and I get bugged. I know others are getting this bug without the trainer, but since no one knows the real reason for the bug I think I can safely say that there are a number of reasons for this bug including the trainer. Some are fixing their games by eliminating the trainer so it is the trainer for them. Others are using Xbox or playstation so it is not the trainer for them. Regardless, there obviously never was a fix for this *sadface*
Its a real shame too because EA loves to kill off their assets. Maybe its the devs giving in to the EA bully.

Quick kills + add money were fine to use, won't triggered bug. The bug triggered by either add XP, abilities, skills.
