Hey guys, I have only recently been exposed to the amazingness of the Kinect for the Xbox 360 and have decided I should get one. I have a Wii and I would trade it in for credit towards the Xbox I'm wondering if now is a good time to buy? The Xbox 360 has been out for about 7 years by my understanding, so my concern is that it may be coming near the end of its life span. I don't want to buy one only to have the next gen be reviled at E3 this June. What do you guys think? Buy or wait and see what happens? And also, which Kinect bundle do you suggest, 4GB or 250GB?
Well Microsoft and Sony try to make each console be out for 10 years before releasing another one. I would say to just go for it and buy it. But definitely get the 250gb one because it is cheaper than buying the 4gb and then buying a 250gb Hard Drive later.
Regarding the online, it is really up for debate. Now, if your going to just be playing offline then thats great, But if you are wanting to play online, be ready to spend $60/year because 360 has NO free multiplayer.
It's always a good time to buy a 360. At least for these days.

Don't worry about the lifespan because of the new announcement. It's just an announcement, so it'll probably be another 12 months before it's actually released. Also, the PS2 still went pretty strong even after the release of the PS3, and mine still gets plenty of use albeit a lack of new games.
Even if the 360 just stopped in the wake of the new console, there's still a ton of great games you can get, most of them probably cheaper than release through pre-owned copies.
