I bought the witcher 1 twice (limited collectors edition on retail and steam) and Witcher 2 collectors limited edition retail. I love the games these guys bring out, and it hardly breaks the bank to purchase their games

i hear that, first week i got witcher 2 and it was £25...thats a steal!!
4.5m warez users playing witcher 2 = a potential $160-200 Million lost.
And warez kiddies think they don't affect anything >.<
4.5m people wouldn't of bought the game. I myself pirate "some" games. yet my steam account has over 200+ games on it, i like to try games. If i like what developers have done, ill buy it.
Simple, some people pirate because they have no expendable money to buy games, others just because it's there.
Ive downloaded some games just because i saw a topic and thought hmm ill try that.

its not a good reason, people who earn money by working hard and saving what they can deserve it, does that mean if i dont have money i should steal a car just to try it and see if i like it, and if i dont just bin it , if people want to try games there is one very easy thing to do..download the demo thats what they are for
most games dont have demos, if theres a demo available ill download it, i dont mind parting with my cash, even bought **** game galore brink, should of pirated that first would of saved £30

Most games do have demos few dont but still i cant say i would condone piracy, just my view tho not dissing anyone, specially not this cheery time of year
I have bought the original retail copies of the game as well. The thing is, the first didn't officially make it to India - I had to order it from my relatives from the USA. And the second one came after 2 months.
So I guess, lack of availibilty is a good reason for a "considerable" portion of piracy being done.
