Why the would steam vac ban me from multiplayer matches on MW3? From what I've looked up it's for cheating?! I never had the trainer running while playing in multiplayer, and it wouldn't even work if I did. And it also says that the bans will never be lifted!!
Glad I paid $60 to be able to play the mediocre campaign as many times as I want.
Read through that whole post....what a "Steam"y pile of bull mess. If I want to use a trainer and have my RPG be like machine gun in single player mode then that's my business. What a waste of resources.
Guess it was my fault alone. CheatHappens makes great products and am happy to be, and will be, a loyal customer.
It really does suck that companies are cracking down so hard on Trainers. I think that the companies should be fine with it as long as we are still only making them work for Singleplayer.

I think it is because of achievements. I noticed cheat codes stopped being in games around the same time achievements started to pop up. I like how RockStar handled it with GTA IV. People can still use cheats, it would just block achievements. Same way with New Vegas on Steam. People can use console commands but it would block achievements. I don't understand why more game developers don't do that.
I think what is happening is people have the trainer activated but chose to goto multiplayer, so although they may not be using options the trainer is still running and is checking the game.
To be 100% sure, even after playing SP stuff with a trainer, close the game down and trainer and restart game by itself then do MP.
