Just get the quest from one of the orc strongholds.
I assume you haven't yet, or else you'd just go into your journal & mark on map.
Oh I have but I cannot find it on the location pointed out and wanted to see if it was standard and could be helped... oh well search harder I guess...

I think there's an occasional bug with the quest markers in the game, a few times now I've marked a quest as active and no marker has shown up. I got this quest yesterday myself, and it definitely gave me a location for the gloves. I got the quest from the Orc Stronghold furthest east, the one with the ebony mine (SE of Windhelm), and the glove location was in a spider cave not that far to the west of the place. Maybe try unmarking the quest, saving and reloading said save, and remarking the quest? Or the same but closing and reopening the game?
Not guaranteed to work, but worth a try. I hope it gets sorted for you soon pal.
