Do you mean "completely" uninstall IE10? How do you block it from MS update? Using Windows 8 64bit
This is not possible on Windows 8. It is strongly recommended you have a dual boot configuration with Windows 7 to use trainers.

Of course not. THat would be too easy. Can't figure out why the gram crashes when I activate the trainer. I want to avoid using the cheats so that I can get the achievements. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
EDIT: My problem is that the SAINTS ROW: THE THIRD TRAINER (DX9+DX11) PATCH 05.30.2012 crashes after the game loads from the title screen into the actual gameplay.
[Edited by knoximus, 6/11/2013 5:21:16 PM] EDIT again: Never mind. I completely turned off the AV and Firewall and it worked. Got that from the trainer troubleshooting guide.

Actually, for Win 8, it is possible to completely remove IE 10 if you go through the "Programs and Features". Then click on "Turn Windows Features On Or OFF". Uncheck IE 10. It'll ask to restart and remove IE 10 for you. You can always put it back later if you need though.

Anybody else have the issue with the latest trainer (5.30) not activating? I have the latest trainer, it authenticates successfully, doesn't crash, and I know how to use it. When I sit in the main menu and try to activate it though, I get no sounds and the trainer doesn't activate. It just sits there, taunting me.
Not quite sure how to solve this one.

Hi folks,
i got a similar problem on Win7 64bit, with the latest Steam version of the game.
Trainer does activate, but game crashes while loading.
Antivirus is off, Trainer runs as admin. I even removed IE10, no change, still crashes.
Any hints left?

I get something similar. Start trainer, load game and press F1 while in game. Get the robotic voice telling me the game isn't running or some such thing.

Ok to all having issues. Follow these steps as they should sort it.
1. Set trainer and steam to run in admin mode all the time. 2. Turn off all Security programs or tell them to ignore the trainer. 3. Revert your IE10 to IE9 - (Possible sort).
With 1 and 2 done you should be fine. If not you have something interfering with the trainer. Or you do not have the up to date game!
Note just ran a test with the latest trainer and it works fine.

I use Windows 7 64bit, run steam.exe plus the game.exe plus the trainer in administrator mode, deactivated all antivirus and firewall software...
No chance of running the program without a crash. As soon as the loading screen pops up, the game crashes to the desktop.
