Am I reading this correctly? I hope you aren't loading first then trying to active the trainer. If so, activate on main screen before you do anything. If I read it wrong IDK what the problem is, try a previous save maybe? I save a lot on rpg's for that purpose, sometimes it's not trainer related, at least from I have encountered.

If you can't say it face to face, don't say it here!!

So whenever I load Skyrim without the trainer, it works fine. At first I thought it was because of my old saves that I transferred over from a old HDD but even those load fine when I don't use the trainer.

Whenever I start the trainer, hit F1 at main screen to activate and either go new game or load it crashed to desktop almost immediaetly, and this only happens with the trainer activated.

Any ideas as to what is going on?

I just tried it and no trouble here. I loaded up Skyrim then at the main screen started the trainer then hit F1 and all is well. Sorry to hear your having troubles. Could it be a localization thing?

Not entirely sure as this trainer was working fine a few days ago; I reinstalled Skyrim on my new HDD the same way as before but this time the trainer doesn't cooperate.

Sounds like a compatibility problem. This usually only happens if the game isn't compatible with the trainer version you are using.

It most certainly could be another program (such as AV) interfering with the trainer, but I don't think that would actually crash the game.

Are you sure you are running both the trainer and the game as Administrator? That the versions are a match? Perhaps Steam is interfering with the game?

I make sure to run both the game and trainer as administrator, starting the trainer before the game. There is no AV to speak of and my firewall is off. It's weird because this happens with a saved game or new one, and weirder still that this very same version we have right now worked just fine a few days ago. I'm just running through all the things that could have gone wrong, even a reinstall of the game proved useless.
