Sorry I'm late to the party, but...

You should have a look at thread here about editing saved games. If you open your saved game using SQLiteStudio or similar software you can change feasibility rating of any tech there.
First you have to know your techs ID in your game, open:
Tables->techs=>Data Tab->Filter technology by name (preferably 1 word or _ instead of spaces)
You should find your tech id.

Now go to Table->player_techs->Data Tab->Filter using ID,
It should filter out technologies one entry for every player, you need to change one which player_id is 1. Change field feasibility to 1 and player_feasibility to 0.99.
Do not forget to commit changes (press orange button with a tick on it assuming you're using SQLiteStudio).

Note: Sometimes you also might need to make changes in player_tech_branches table, to unlock technology branch.

Yes rename your old techtree and make sure whatever techtree you put in has the original name. "techtree.techtree"

However that tree is now not working due to patches and what have ya. Ill do another one later on today after the dentists.

Id have updated it when i knew it was broken but that's me just getting pm's from 2009 LOL

Anyway ill give youz a link here and then get CH's to replace the broken file with a working version.


EDIT: Ok as requested, here's the updated version of the techtree file.

It works with latest steam version (and no doubt other versions as well)

However i have the enhanced version which adds all the DLC (got it free for buying a broken game ) Which means this will also fix DLC tech/races.

That's it updated under trainers now so link removed
