From Software's never really made a PC game other than Ninja Blade. However, Windows 8 will support 360 games, and Dark Souls is on 360, so ayep, PC master race will be able to play soon enough.
To be honest though, I'd buy a PS3 and a copy of the game straight up just to play it now. (I have 360 and PS3 versions, PS3 seems to run a bit smoother) It's a lot more streamlined than Demon's Souls was, and the learning curve seems to be more consistent. However, if you really just have a terrible time in the beginning and lack skill, you genuinely will not be able to get past about the 1/3 or 1/2 way point, because the game does not care if you sell it or break the disc.
