For some reason, I am unable to get the v1.2 trainer to work for dead island. Using win7 64, steam updated to v1.2 of dead island, running trainer as admin, vac is turned off, using single player mode, no firewall/AV issues, no mods installed, numlock on, but no 'trainer activated' at main menu after pressing f1. Tried using it anyway hoping it was simply not playing the audio activation but no dice. Any help would be appreciated.

Set dead island to run as admin. Still no luck.

Have you attempted using the trainer after performing a clean boot?
If it still does not work after that, please run this command in an administrator command prompt: sfc /scannow
Your bitterness, I will dispel

Clean boot done. No luck. sfc /scannow performed. 0 integrity violations. Its not often I get to be an anomaly. Is this what a bogon feels like?

Other trainers work fine?
Also try installing the latest CCCP codec pack, use google to find it.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

I've never had a trainer from CH not work. I have klite codec megapack installed. Can't imagine my problem lying there.

This game may have some extensive coding issues with self-protection (and is known to have rapid fire updates). Try to download a fixed exe file from megagames.com or gameburnworld.com (both referenced from the troubleshooting guide) and see if it will work better with this version.
Please remember to backup your original exe file by renaming it to "[filename].exe.old"
