One of my parents friends gave me a gaming computer that they don't use anymore but when I plugged it all in and turned it on, there was nothing showing up on the monitor. The fans and everything seem to turn on. There is also a light on the motherboard that shows up green which im assuming means that it is working. I also checked the video card and RAM and they all seem to be in place. Anyone know how to fix this issue?
Try with different monitor and monitor cable. Make sure your monitor is set to receive the specified signal (VGA picks up analog only while DVI/HDMI picks up digital only).

hmm thats about all i can think on at the moment resulting in a blank screen since you have tested other monitors. pretty much double check all cables and connections and cards if that dont help i would suggest taking it to a local pc store even if thats expensive
