Trainer was working fine but updated the trainer today. Now I hear the activated, but it keeps repeating, and can only get it to stop saying activated by shutting the trainer down. Any advice as to how to fix this would be appreciated. I'm using the Steam version of Deus Ex:HR, Win 7 64-bit.
It is most likely an issue with Quicktime if you have that installed.
I temporarily fixed my problem when I uninstalled Quicktime and then installed Quicktime Alternative. However, as soon as I rebooted my system, the problem happened again. I am not sure what I need to disable as I dont see anything in MSCONFIG or running processes ;p. I don't want to permanently uninstall Quicktime Alternative either.
For me if i restart my computer the trainer works fine and aslong as I only use Steam, Deus Ex and the trainer I dont have an issue. No matter how many times I open and close them.
However during the course of normal computer usage at some point the problem reappears.
I know it is not the Anti-virus or firewall and I am running both the game and the trainer as admin.
For me it is not Quicktime; I removed it a long time ago and clean up the left over files and folder manually.
As suggested I have run a /sfc scan and it came back saying everything is fine.
I have done a little bit of testing and it appears the Zune software might be causing the problem for me. But even if I close it and kill the Zune processes I still get the problem.
Just wanted to post my experience with the sound looping issue. I read through every post in this thread and attempted all the fixes put forth. It wasn't until I realized that I DID in fact have Quicktime installed (it's not usually) and removed it that the problem cleared up. The trainer is working swimmingly now and I'm enjoying the game immensely more.
