Feedback, Complaints or Problems

ok here goes... Been with cheat happens for a while now with no problems with any trainers what so ever (dont trust any other ones). Every now and then i always re-install windows 7 when for example My computer system gets pretty clogged up with downloads,programs,games, blah blah blah etc etc.. and go back to the same windows 7 from start with all updates. But recently no trainers have been working with steam except 1 and thats Terraria. All the rest left4dead,magicka,mafia 2, etc etc that worked before now dont work.. for example.. run trainer, run game, start game or at menu press f1 "trainer activated" but then numpad 1-9 etc doesnt respond except to terraria.
Now hold on there's more.. so i checked forums rang a couple of mates who also with cheat happens, no problems to what i have, they cant understand it either.. checked that numpads are working.. yep.. ok change keyboards.. nope still same problem.. re-installed another operating system windows xp-vista, even changed security to kaspersky,bitdefender,norton, all security switched off.. nope still same problem..
even tried the keys customizer program.. nope that dont work still stays at numpads 1 2 3 etc infact that dont even work for my mates..
so im baffled, my mates are baffled, i bet even the computer says "sorry i aint got a clue either"
So does anybody in this forum knows what the hell my problem is?? only thing we can think of is could it be the new netframework 4 that been introduced.. i dont know.
cant pull me hair out anymore.. cuz not a lot left anyway.

are you right clicking on the trainers and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR? Have you tried with no security software installed at all (not just disabled)? Do you have any kind of multimedia keyboard software running (switching out keyboard would still leave the software running) ?

Have you tried a "clean boot" ?

yep.. tried all of the above.. the only thing ive left to do is try a complete fresh re-install.. no updates - no security etc etc. and see if that works.. then add everything one by one.. il try that on thursday (next day off) just seeing if somebody knows the cure before undertaking that adventure.. also do you reckon steam maybe clamping down on hacks etc new software detection??
im gonna try a non-steam versions to see if thats the case.

Not necessarily, but it might have installed Punkbuster and turned it on by default. You can try disabling/uninstalling it.

Sorted.. well most of them. re-installed windows ( i know i said thursday but i was bored) didnt update system.. installed steam, just cause 2, graphics driver, ran trainer in admin ran game it updated with directx etc. pressed f1 then the numpad keys, every trainer working, wasnt previously.. done the same with left for dead 2, didnt work then the trainer updated on exit and everything worked, but on exit steam done a very small update for left 4 dead 2 and now trainer says activated and numpad keys says on for health, but u still loose life etc.. but that one im not too worried about
But all others are working well, even with norton on now (except sonar), but i havent updated windows yet.. which il do slowly one by one.
Strange.. but maybe il find it with one of the security patches that windows has when updating.
But thanks for that advice about punkbuster.. il look out for that just incase that may of been it!!
