So far, none of these have worked with any of my Steam games. In fact, I have had to buy physical versions of most games again to get the benefit of these trainers. I just want to know, will this work with the Steam version before I go and waste another $30 for no reason?
//edit - I am talking about Mass Effect 2

It will work if you download the steam version.

It worked just fine for my Steam versions of ME1 and ME2.

It's worked perfectly for me, both games. So I see no reason why this wouldn't work, if you have the right version.

You've actually bought two versions of a game just to get the benefit of a trainer? That's a little excessive.
Anyway, if no trainers have worked with Steam versions of your games then there's a problem on your end. Follow the trainer troubleshooting guide and such. Many of the retail versions will work with Steam versions too.
