In some of the cutscenes when they play I get a distorted background of the image with moving and flickering lines. Aside from say its card overheat does anyone know what might cause this and how to correct it?

Using beta graphic drivers?

Although you say Aside, overheating can cause this also. As can overclocking if its not steady.

Screenshot might be better to see what the damage is.

There no overclocking associated with my machine and I just rolled back my graphics drivers after reading your response so will see if that helps.

Have played about a third of the game since I rolled back the drivers and I have not seen the graphics problem I described before happen again.

Well you best check, because I had these lines and all the thermal paste on my GPU was gone (bought in Summer 2008).

The idea of updating to the latest drivers wass not my idea. It was the idea of the tech I was on the phone with. I told him it was a bad idea but of course he wouldn't listen to me.

Well I am playing the game over from the start and so far I have not sen any of the graphics problems I had before. I plan on playing the game to the very end just to see what happens.
