I decided I shall learn to skateboard (mostly street). Because when I was little I bought a skateboard. A fairly good one actually, the board all put together was 110 dollars and new bearings I have in it were 40 (probably got ripped on that one).

Anyway, that is just back-story.

My main point is if anyone here used to/still does skate I would love some websites for help and stuff. I trust your guys' experience a lot since it has been valuable to me before.

Also, I live in a fairly rural area. It's roads aren't the best. I need to know a good set of wheels for the bumpy pavement.

P.S. Any and all advice appreciated, also I am not doing this for a social aspect. I find it fun.

I never been much of a skateboarder. More of a rollerblader. But I think it's good you're thinking about what kind of skateboard you should pick for your area, instead of just buying the coolest looking one there.

I can't offer much advice, except to also try looking on the internet for some information that can help. And if you're just starting out, don't get something too expensive to begin with.
